It was a week packed with action for residents in Balmoral Care Home in Sheffield.
On Saturday 23rd July, the home held it’s Summer Fayre which was a great success.
Liza Taverner, Home Manager, said: “Residents, their families and visitors to the home enjoyed a sunny afternoon relaxing with a glass of Pimms and a BBQ. We had a bouncy castle and a homemade beach for everyone to enjoy. The children and a few of the residents enjoyed building sand castles in the Sheffield sunshine. It was definitely a day to remember, filled with sun and laughter.”
Not content with just relaxing in the sunshine, a couple of days later residents ventured out to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
Liza Taverner added: “The residents had a great time seeing all of the different animals. The firm favourite being the polar bear. When the residents came back, they were all plotting about how they could sneak a polar bear into the home without me or the rest of the team noticing.”
