Everyone at Cedars Care Home in Doncaster raised money to help in the fight against dementia.
Residents and their relatives took part in various activities thorough Dementia Awareness Week including cake decorating, reminiscing about the ‘good old days’ looking at photos of times gone by, going to the vintage sweet shop, making peg dollies, being entertained by a local singer, a sophisticated tea party all topped off with a raffle.
Angelina Neeson, Home Manager said: “Thanks to everyone’s contributions we managed to raise £65 on the raffle. Over £270 was raised from the funeral collection of one of our residents, who used to live on the dementia unit for several years, who sadly passed away. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind donations as it means we can donate £338 to the Dementia UK Charity.”
