Residents and the team at Ivyhouse Care Home in Birmingham have been brushing up on their nursery rhymes so they can sing along with the local children.
For the past couple of months children, their parents and the staff at Scallywags Day Nursery have been regularly popping into the home to see and sing to the residents.
Sabrina McFarlane, Home Manager, said: “The residents look forward to the children coming in. We hold a tea party complete with snacks and drinks before having a sing along. The songs can be anything but the children’s, and secretly the residents favourites are definitely the nursery rhymes.
“The positive impact the children have on the residents can be felt in the home for days. I want to say thank you to Scallywags, we look forward to your next visit.”
