Beatrix Potter brought to life characters such as Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, bringing joy and happiness to generations of people.
To mark the 150th anniversary of her birth, residents at Courtenay House Care Home in Kings Lynn held their very own Beatrix Potter Day.
John Watts, Home Manager, explains how the day went: “The residents started the day off by making cakes, which they then enjoyed with some afternoon tea. During the afternoon tea, we were joined by ‘Beatrix Potter’ herself who read some of the lovely tales many of us were brought up on. I want to thank ‘Beatrix’, who is our lovely volunteer from the Women’s Institute for dressing up as the author and creating some lovely memories for our residents.”
