Sheena Walker, a member of the Learning and Development Team in Scotland has been crowned Central Support Team Member of the Year at the first Four Season’s Care Awards.
The award Sheena has won commends her for the support she’s given to the care homes in her region, not just to her colleagues but to residents and their families through everyday tasks, making each experience special for the individual.
Sheena was up against five other colleagues in this category from different Four Season’s Care Homes.
Ben Taberner, Finance Director for Four Seasons Health Care, presented Sheena with this award said: “Central support team members are sometimes the unsung heroes of this organisation. Without their help and support, some of the functions we perform wouldn’t be possible without these guys. Sheena was a fantastic candidate for this award. She is respected, admired and very loyal, and going the extra mile is just another day in the office for her. Congratulations Sheena.”
John Kirk, Managing Director for Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man, said: “Sheena is a fantastic lady, and a great asset for us to have up here in Scotland. The support she provides her colleagues to help them progress through qualifications is second to none. I’m glad she’s been recognised in this way. She is a very worthy winner in my eyes. Congratulations Sheena!”
On receiving the award, Sheena said: “I’m very proud and humbled to have won this award. I love my job, and helping other people learn all there is to know about care so they can make a difference to the residents they look after is complete job satisfaction for me.”
