Residents at Gotton Manor Care Home in Taunton were in the mood for singing and dancing, as they showed the local community just how they celebrated Care Home Open Day.
Patricia Coiley, Home Manager, said: “Everyone had a lovely time at our Care Home Open Day event. The entertainer really got everyone going. Residents were singing and dancing to their hearts content. In the afternoon we had some much deserved cream tea which was a lovely way to recover after the morning of dancing. Everyone really did have a lot of fun.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Gotton Manor Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
