Christmas has definitely been in full swing at Gowrie House Care Home in Kirkcaldy.
Residents, their relatives and the team have all been busy having Christmas lunches, attending Christmas Fairs and watching pantomimes.
Anjie Restar, Home Manager, told us: “December has been a month of fun filled activities for us here. Residents enjoyed their first Christmas lunch of the season at the Victoria Hotel, before coming home to handmade Christmas cards from our local Brownie group.
“Our Christmas Fair was a huge success this year. I want to extend my thanks to everyone who helped us. We raised over £500 for our Residents’ Fund which will help us to provide special experiences for them.”
The residents also popped along to Dunnikier Nursery’s Nativity Play. They thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the children play their parts.
Back at the home, the residents welcomed Theatre Presto who presented their Christmas pantomime ‘Nicky-Dicky Whittington and her cat’.
Anjie Restar added: “As you can see it’s been a busy month full of special experiences. Watch this space as we share more of the goings on at Gowrie House.”
