The rain may have fallen during a trip to the nature reserve, but it didn’t stop the mystery tour residents from Hallgarth Care Home in Durham went on.
Six Hallgarth residents went on the tour which saw them feeding Canadian Geese, taking in the views, while enjoying a lovely piece of cake and a warm cup of tea. As the rain started to fall, the group finished off their trip with an ice cream on the minibus.
Margaret, a resident at the home, said: “There’s nothing like an ice cream, with good company and a song to make a lovely afternoon complete.”
