Hillside Lodge Care Home in Berwick-upon-Tweed is celebrating the success of two of its Care Assistants Debbie Spain and Simon Spruce after they successfully graduated from the Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) programme.
Vanessa Pepper, Home Manager said: “Everyone here congratulates Debbie and Simon on their success. We’ve supported them every step of the way and it’s great to see their hard work pay off. They are a great asset to the home, and provide fantastic support to the residents here. They’re a great part of the team. Well done again! I can’t wait to see you putting your new skills to use.”
The newly qualified CHAPs is now able to provide some general nurse duties, such as medication rounds. This benefit’s the home as it enables the nurse to deal with more complex issues.
