It’s always nice to take a trip down memory, revisiting those haunts we used to visit on a regular basis.
Ken, a resident at Howdon Care Centre in Wallsend did just that when he took Personal Activities Leader Janet and Maintenance Man Richie back to his roots, the beautiful village of Bellingham.
Ken showed off the wonders of his village, showing Janet and Richie the secret places where he used to play. Before heading back to Howdon, they all went for a bite to eat and drink at the local pub.
Ken told us: “It was really a dream come true to go back to Bellingham. It brought so many memories back for me. I can’t thank the team enough for providing me with this Christmas wish.”
Ruth Todd, Home Manager, said: “Dreams really do come true at Howdon. We were glad we could provide this special experience for Ken. We strive to provide special experiences for all of our residents.
“More trips and activities are planned for the new year.”
