Music and merriment helped everyone at Longfield Care Home in Eglinton celebrate Care Home Open Day.
Louise McClusky, Home Manager, said: “The home was filled with music and dancing as residents, relatives and visitors got into the swing of things. The home also received donations from a variety of people/organisations including: Eglinton Primary School for donating beautiful flowers, Rosemarie, Adie, Zoe and Donald for the music, and many more. I can’t thank you enough.”
The home also held a raffle with lots of lovely prizes given to those lucky winners.
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Longfield Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
