Everything went a bit topsy turvy at Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside, as Alice and her friends came through the looking glass to spend some time in the home.
On Thursday 6th October 2016, the home threw a tea party that the Mad Hatter himself would have been proud of.
Sheila Gesma, Home Manager, explains: “The team dressed up as characters from the film Alice in Wonderland and helped serve our woodland inspired tea. Jack our entertainer provided light relief by getting the residents singing their heart out.
“One of our Care Assistants, Grazina Povillatyte showed off her Salsa moves to rapturous applause.
“Everyone who came to the event had a fantastic time, and were sad to wave goodbye to Alice and her friends.”
Grazina Povillatye, Care Assistant, said: “The party was so much fun. It was nice to see the residents enjoying themselves, especially Jimmy, who was showing off his Salsa moves with me.”
