Laurels Lodge Care Home in Aberdeen has been awarded £200 from Asda’s Community Life Campaign.
The home was nominated by Fred and Jean Park after seeing the dedication of the team, whilst visiting a relative there. As a result of the nomination, Laurels Lodge won first prize, and plan to use the money to enhance the sensory garden and treat the residents.
Sheila Gesma, Home Manager, said: “Everyone at Laurels Lodge can’t thank Fred and Jean Park enough for the support they have given us in the last few years, and the nomination. This award is a great opportunity not only showcasing that the home is at the heart of the community, but it gives us further opportunity to invite people in to show what we’ve done with the winnings.
“We’ve also won another way as Jan Craig from Asda in Midleton Park has offered to support us in our homes future endeavours.”
