Some people worry that when they move into a care home, they have to stop everything they love doing. At Four Seasons, this is not the case. We promise to get to know the individual coming into our home and provide them with special experiences to help create new memories whilst keeping them in touch with the things they used to do.
At Banks O’Dee Care Home in Aberdeen, they help the residents keep in touch with their active side, by taking them to play walking football. This takes place once a week at the Pittodrie Stadium, home of the mighty Aberdeen FC.
Lorraine Dray, Home Manager said: “The walking football is one of the activities our residents really enjoy. It’s made extra special as one of the residents who partakes is the biggest Aberdeen fan I’ve ever met. He was worried he’d never get to go to their beloved stadium again, but now he’s thrilled he goes on a regular basis.”
So whether it’s a love of the beautiful game, gardening, crafts or anything other past time our residents enjoyed doing, the homes try their upmost to cater to everyone’s needs.
