Photography exhibition helps residents reminisce in Ilkeston

They say a picture paints 1,000 words. Last week the residents at Cedars & Larches Care Home in Ilkeston were treated to a photography exhibition from Falmouth University first year student Hannah Taylor.

Alison Richards, Activity Coordinator, explains: “Hannah kindly brought in a sample of her work, which she showcased both in physical prints and digitally on her laptop. Hannah’s work was part of her ‘Volunteers of the Charity World’ project, and some of the candid shots struck a chord with the residents. The exhibition also attracted members of the community into the home, enabling new friendships to blossom. It was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. On behalf of everybody, I want to say thank you to Hannah.”
