Lorraine Kirkpatrick, Regional Manager in Northern Ireland, claimed the Inspiring Excellence in Mental Health and Learning Disability Award, beating tough competition at the Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year Awards.
Carol Cousins, Managing Director for Four Seasons Northern Ireland, said: “Everyone at Four Seasons wants to congratulate Lorraine on her success. She is an outstanding example in this field and her award is very well deserved.”
Lorraine qualified as a registered mental health nurse in 1998, and now leads Four Seasons diverse mental health services. She is an advocate for ensuring people who have mental health issues have a voice and can make decisions enabling their independence.
Carol Cousins added: “Lorraine beat the competition in this category because of her continued hard work and dedication in this field. She has ran a number of projects which have increased people’s independence, with the ultimate goal of them living on their own or with residential support. Well done again Lorraine. We are all very proud of you.”
