Do you have any spare wool you’d be willing to donate?
The care team at The Sycamore and Poplars Care Home In Mansfield is in urgent need of donations of wool.
The wool will be turned into hats and booties, by resident Evelyn who creates the items for the Premature Baby Unit at Kings Mill Hospital.
Karen Gilbert, Home Manager, explained: “Evelyn is an avid knitter. In the three years she’s been with us she’s been knitting hundreds and hats and booties for babies in the Unit. She’s rapidly running out of wool, which means her good work will have to cease unless she can get her hands on some more.”
Can you help? By donating just one ball of wool you’ll be able to help Evelyn continue her good work.
If you’d like to donate wool to Evelyn’s cause, drop it into The Sycamore and Poplars Care Home,High Street, Warsop, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, NG20 OLU.
