Henderson House Care Home in Dalgety Bay started their Care Home Open Day celebrations with the lovely sounds of the bagpipes.
Stewart MacDonald, Home Manager, explained: “On Friday 17th June we welcomes the community and of course our residents’ families into the home. We had lots of activities going on, including a raffle, tombola and sweet stall. We managed to raise £282 for our residents’ fund which will help us to provide more special experiences for those in our care.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the gentleman that came in to play the bagpipes. It’s not every day at Henderson that we start with a musical interlude.”
Care Home Open Day is a UK wide initiative inviting care homes to open their doors to their local communities. Events like the one at Henderson House Care Home will help to create lasting links between the residents and their local community.
Care Home Open Day is all about showing people what care homes are really about and how they can be at the centre of the local community, developing relationships across the generations.
