Edith dedicates her video to Grandma Agnes

Edith a resident at North Merchiston Care Home in Edinburgh has taken part in a film project alongside four other residents from the home.

Director Duncan Cowles, encouraged Edith to take control of her own filming day, creating a final film that she’d be proud of. Edith thought long and hard and decided that she wanted to do a film that she could dedicated to her Grandma Agnes, also known as Nessy. Edith used to be known as Nessy’s shadow and could be found trailing her grandma wherever she went.

The result of Edith and Duncan’s video can be seen below.

Mike Heard, Home Manager, said: “Edith was the third resident who took part in this project and really enjoyed herself. It was her chance to ‘get to grips’ with modern technology whilst sharing her stories to a wider audience, giving out some lovey advice that has helped her over her 90 years. Duncan’s videos are an insight into some of the colourful characters we have here at North Merchiston. I hope you enjoy watching them as much as the residents enjoyed making them.”
