Two members of the care team from Havencourt Care Home in Stonehaven were commended for their care and kindness.
Lavinia Pirnuta, Senior Care Assistant, and Diane Williamson, Care Assistant were nominated for a Recognition of Care and Kindness (ROCK) award, by Angela, daughter of a resident in their care. Angela wrote: “I would like to nominate 2 care assistants from Havencourt for a ROCK award. My Father was in Havencourt but passed away on the 12th November. Diane Williamson and Lavinia Pirnuta were working on the last day before my Dad died. They went the extra mile, made sure he was comfortable, checked on him on a regular basis and when we left some new t-shirts, they changed him in to one and he looked so smart and peaceful. They also supported the family, nothing was a trouble to them.”
Rhona McGregor, Home Manager, said: “I’m very proud of these two ladies. They’re a fantastic asset for us to have here at Havencourt. It’s great hearing how your kindness and understanding can help make a difference to residents and their families.”
A ROCK award is a nationwide honour that specifically highlights the impact a Four Season Health Care employee has made on the lives of people living in one of their care homes. Team members are nominated for an award by residents, their relatives or friends, who have witnessed or experienced team members demonstrating excellent standards of care and kindness in their role.
