Care Home Open Day is celebrated each year by care homes across the country. It aims to encourage stronger relationships between care homes and the local community and provides a chance for people to see what life inside a home is really like.
During the morning residents and visitors took their chances on the tombola and picked up goodies from the bric-a-brac and cake stalls. Then for lunch it was time to fire up the BBQ for hotdogs and burgers.
This was followed by a raffle, in which the fabulous prize was a gas BBQ, kindly donated by a residents family!
And in the afternoon there was an entertainer who was by turn singer, ventriloquist and magician! The show was a great end to a fabulous day, which also raised some monies for the Residents Fund.
