When Art Club gets together its always exciting to see what they create! This week at Hallgarth Care Home Art Club celebrated International Flower day.
The group decided to make cards decorated with hand-made flowers that they each designed using tissue paper, pom-pom balls and card.
To spread and share the happiness, each resident wrote their card to a relative or friend to show how much they meant to them.
Whilst making these cards the group also discussed their favourite flowers and found out the meanings of individual flowers that they didn’t know before, it was an interesting and fun afternoon!
A resident from Art Club said, “I enjoyed making the card with love, but the best part was delivering it to my neighbours and seeing the happiness on their faces when they opened it! I love spreading happiness.”
Hallgarth Care Home is located in Durham and provides residential care, nursing care and respite care.
