Residents, relatives and the care team at Bon Accord Care Home in Hove joined the rest of the UK in coming together for a minutes silence to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
The home held a number of activities to mark the occasion including dedicating their arts and crafts session to creating poppy paintings and stained glass windows, which look lovely when the sun shines through them. The home also welcomed a local entertainer who did a ‘war time’ gig which included songs from Dame Vera Lynn.
Belinda Bradford, Personal Activities Leader, said: “Remembrance Day is important for everyone, and we all want to do our bit to show our respect. The entertainer really helped to bring everyone’s spirits up and had them all singing and waving their flags to the beat.”
