Hallgarth Care Home in Durham held their 22nd Christmas Fayre this week, which is always a highly anticipated event every year.
The fayre included raffles, games, tombolas, stalls and refreshments, and was attended by many members of the local community. Of course, no Christmas fayre is complete without a visit from Santa, who came generously bearing gifts for all.
It may have been raining, but it was still an afternoon to remember, with plenty to do and festive cheer all around.
As well as enjoying the festivities, the yearly event always serves as an opportunity for friendly reunions, with past residents, relatives and staff members paying a visit to the home.
In total, the event managed to raise an incredible £470 for the residents’ fund, which will go towards days out and future activities in the home.
