We had a lot to celebrate here at Southfield Court Care Home, not only was it International Flower Day but we also had Pat’s birthday!
Pat spent much of her morning enjoying music by Cliff Richard, one of her favourite artists and opening her cards and presents with the other residents. She was particularly excited about receiving her sea-life calendar from her friend, she said it reminded her of when she was younger and her family would go on holidays by the sea.
After the excitement of opening presents, the residents relaxed with a nice cup of tea and slice of Pat’s birthday cake.
The fun doesn’t stop there, for International Flower Day, the residents arranged flowers in vases to be kept in each of the rooms and a big one for the reception. A busy but fun day indeed!
Southfield Court Care Home is located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and provides nursing care, nursing dementia care, respite care, palliative care and support for mental health well-being.
