Gosmore opens doors to community for Christmas Bazaar

Gosmore Care Home is getting firmly in the mood for Christmas with a festive bazaar to take place on Saturday 8th December.

Following on from a successful Antiques Afternoon in October and Bake Off in November, this is one of a series of events the Hitchen Road-based care home has organised to welcome visitors who would like to learn more about life in the home.

The Christmas Bazaar will take place from 2.30-4.30pm and promises to be a fun-filled afternoon with festive stalls, seasonal refreshments including mulled wine, mince pies and children’s treats, a Santa’s Grotto and a fabulous raffle with Christmas goodies and hampers to be won! Residents have been busy making knitted gifts and seasonal crafts, which will be available to buy on the day.

Activities Coordinator Lisa McKenna and her colleagues have put a lot of work into planning the event and are keen to invite any local residents and visitors from further afield who would like to get to know the home and see its activity in full swing.

Gosmore Care Home Manager Piotr Maslanka said:

“We have a thriving community down here at Gosmore, and while being tucked away up our winding driveway means the home is private and peaceful, it also means people don’t always know we’re here.

Christmas is a really special time for us and our Christmas Bazaar is always great fun for our residents and their families – so we’d love visitors from the local community to come along and join in the fun too. We have plenty of free parking and it should be a lovely event to attend with all the family and get everyone feeling festive!”

The Christmas Bazaar will take place at Gosmore Care Home, Hitchin Road, Gosmore, Nr Hitchin, SG4 7QH on Saturday 8th December from 2.30-4.30pm. Free parking is available.
