Hallgarth had the pleasure of welcoming thirty students from Grays College Choir in Durham city for an afternoon of carol singing. It was their first Christmas performance and they were a pleasure to hear.
Peter Curnew, a resident with experience of choirs and singing said it was beautiful to hear so many talented your people and their voices ring out together. He closed his eyes and remembered his youth in the cathedral choir and how magical so many voices singing in harmony can be.
After the performance, many of the students stayed and gathered for a get-together and chat with residents and visitors of Hallgarth.
Resident Helen Gait said:
"It's so nice to spend time with and chat to the students; they're all so talented and polite. It's a pleasure to meet up with them regularly and also become friends."
