Residents, relatives and the care team at Laurels Lodge Care Home in Woodside decided it was time to give back to the community by fundraising for the Help for Heroes charity.
The home held a ‘Bake for Heroes’ day which meant people enjoyed coffee and a selection of glorious home bakes.
Sheila Gesma, Home Manager, said: “The Bake for Heroes event was a big success for us all, the enormous support we got from the relatives and volunteers is something that myself, the residents and team at Laurels Lodge are very proud of.
“Laurels Lodge receives a lot of support from the community and this fundraising event is our way of giving something back. On behalf of all the residents and team at here, we would like to thank all those who have supported us on this event, especially the relatives and Robyn from the Rockin Robyn’s Bakery who donated lots of cupcakes.”
