Long service and ROCK awards celebrated at Regency!

The team at Regency Care Home has had plenty to celebrate recently with two long service awards and well-deserved ROCK (Recognition of Care & Kindness) awards for two lovely members of staff.

Long service awards of cards and gift vouchers were presented by Home Manager Mary Crossley to Laundry Assistant Aimee Lisett and Care Assistant Louise Snook, both of whom have now worked at Regency for over 10 years.

The celebrations then continued with Rock awards for Staff nurse Angel Rayco and Senior Carer Paul Tucker, presented by Deputy Manager Nichola Birkett.

Originating from the Philippines, Angel has no family in the UK, and on Christmas Day went well beyond the call of duty and gave up her Christmas Day off to escort a nursing resident to her own home so she could spend the day with her husband and daughter.

Paul's award also related to Christmas Day. Home Manager Mary Crossley was contacted first thing on Christmas Morning because the kitchen was experiencing difficulties with the gas supply. Worried that there could be a disruption to the residents' Christmas lunch, Mary approached Paul, and he gave up his Christmas morning to assist in ensuring residents had a lovely day.

Well done to Aimee, Louise, Angel and Paul - and thank you for your hard work, commitment and generosity.
