Michelle at Park Lane honoured with award for her work during the pandemic

Huge congratulations to Senior Carer, Michelle, at Park Lane Care Home, who has been honoured with an award to recognise her outstanding service to the community of Staffordshire during the pandemic.

The HM Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire, Ian Dudson CBE, presented Michelle with her award at The Staffordshire Platinum Jubilee Garden Party held at Stafford County Show Ground on 1st June.

Home Manager, Caroline Jones, said: “Right from the start, when no one was sure what the pandemic would bring, Michelle volunteered to be our ‘Covid Champion’.  Despite dealing with her own health issues, she organised and carried out the testing programme for our residents and team members and liaised with family members. Her kindness and support for everyone during a very difficult time has been incredible.”

Michelle, who has worked at Park Lane Care Home for 2 years, said: “It was such an honour to be presented with this award and I had a wonderful day. We’ve faced many challenges during the pandemic but the entire team at Park Lane Care Home always work so hard to ensure our residents' happiness and health is at the heart of everything we do.”

Park Lane Care Home is located in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent and provides residential care, nursing care, residential dementia care and respite care
