It was a beautiful day for the summer fair at St Helen’s Care Home last weekend, and residents had a fun-filled day with their families and friends who came to support the event.
Not only did attendees enjoy delicious food and live music and peruse the stalls, they also witnessed a brave head shave from Activities Coordinator Joanna King, who used the occasion to raise money for Mason’s Smile, a charity that supports families with children suffering from cancer by offering respite.
Jo shaved off her lovely long hair & raised a whopping £730! Well done Jo for supporting such an amazing charity and we all love your new look!!
In addition a further £550 was raised for the home's activity fund - an amazing total! The money will be going towards new entertainment for our residents and brand new activities items.
