Moving into a care home can be an emotional experience, so our teams do all they can to ensure you feel like you’ve come home.
This was certainly the case at The Cedars and Larches Care Home in Ilkeston, when new resident Eva met the home’s sensory dog Ruby, enjoying some pet therapy.
Nina Wright, Home Manager explained: “Eva is a big animal lover, and Ruby helped her to settle into life here at home really well. She spent a long time brushing and petting Ruby which gave her a sense of comfort. Welcome to the family Eva.”
